Poppetts Nursery is a well-established Nursery which opened in 1997. We are an independent facility situated within the grounds of Long Ridings Primary School, a 5 minute walk from Shenfield train station. Our main nursery incorporates 3 rooms in which we care for 68 children aged 3 months to 5 years. Poppetts Pavilion in the grounds of the school offers a Breakfast , After School  and Holiday Club.

We are thrilled we have received our THIRD OUTSTANDING OFSTED in May 2016. We are particularly proud of this achievement, as only 2% of nurseries countrywide achieve this superb rating. We provide excellent quality childcare within small friendly groups within a caring and stimulating environment. We endeavour to work closely with all parents and carers to meet the individual needs of all of the children in our care.

We hold a level 3 e-Quality Counts Accreditation with The National Day Nursery Association; this being the highest grading that can be achieved. This kite mark acknowledges the superb standards of care and education given by all of our qualified staff, which is over and above the requirements laid out by Ofsted.

We will try our best to accommodate your child at the dates and times you request, and a waiting list form is enclosed for you to submit to us as soon as possible. We operate an ‘Open Door Policy’, and welcome you to visit our Nursery whenever you wish, to see for yourself the high standard of care we give to all of the children we look after.
