We have a range of Poppetts Leaflets which we have developed full of information to explain what we do and on key areas which we are often asked about. Please look in the foyer to get a copy of any that interest you.
We now have 9 members covering all rooms… our most ever!
Should you wish these volunteers to raise anything (although you are welcome to chat to us anytime) please see their names and pictures on the side of the foyer desk. For more information on what the Parents Committee is all about please take a leaflet from the stand in the foyer.
Drop off and Collection Times
Just a little reminder we open at 7.45 and close at 6pm.
Although the staff start at 7.30 am this is to check and set up the rooms before the first children arrive.
The late staff finish their shift at 6pm. Staff are more than happy to speak with parents about their child, however can we politely ask that you arrive a little earlier, or arrange a time for a meeting.
Just a quick reminder which you may think a tad daft… as you know your children tend to grow very quickly so as and when you replace clothing, pants, footwear for bigger sizes at home can you pop some bigger sizes in their peg bags as when changes of clothing are needed for whatever reason it is far more comfortable for your little ones if the items fit 🙂 Also if possible wellington boots would be a great addition to your children’s clothing at Nursery to wear in the mud kitchen.
ALSO can you please label anything and everything that is precious to you-we have over 120 families so matching lost item tends to be problematic!!
As the sun is finally on its way we will supply sun cream, however please ensure you bring in sun hats and that any spare clothes you bring to the nursery are clearly labelled with your child’s name so they can be easily identified. If you could apply before they come to us in the morning then we would only need to reapply after lunch which would save us a huge amount of time… your help in this would be much appreciated. I know we all love flip flops but these really are unsuitable footwear for children to play in all day and can cause many a trip and fall. We really do request that you send your children in other types of summer shoe which will enable them to make the most of the garden.
Don’t forget to update us with any changes to dietary requirements, addresses, email, phone numbers and mobile changes so that we can contact you in an emergency and send newsletters out to keep you up to date. Just drop a note into Claire the administrator who collates all information.
Another reminder… We do not provide any parent parking within our grounds-our spaces are for our staff and visitors during the day. The Disabled space is NOT TO BE USED by any parent. We have had several close calls of parents reversing out and nearly running over a small child- would you like that on your conscience just because you wanted to save a few minutes walking from the parking that is available on Long Ridings Avenue??
